Following are candidate statements of members running for the Board of Directors:
DAVE VANDERLINDEN
My name is David Vanderlinden, I have been a PAS member since 2020. I have been a competitive shooter since 2009. I am an NRA benefactor member. I currently shoot USPSA, IDPA, Thursday steel, Thursday paper, the revolver match and stand-up silhouette. I help with stage set up before matches when I can and help with the range maintenance on Mondays. I will support PAS in any way I can to make our club successful and prosperous. I am running for one of the Board of director positions and would appreciate your support. Thank you.
DAVE ZINK
Greetings to all! My name is Dave Zink. I am a life member of PAS and have been since 2005. I was, long ago, the Thursday match director, and board member, Vice president of the club and headed up the PR committee. I am also one of the creators of our beloved Northern Arizona classic. If you’ve ever wondered why our logo is a Javelina in a Sarape, that’s also my fault. I seek a position on the Board of Directors for the simple fact that growing older has provided me with a little extra time and frankly, I owe it to the club that has brought me so much joy over the decades. The nuts and bolts are as follows. I am an avid competitor, and hold the rank of grandmaster in USPSA, and the rank of master in IDPA. I am a sponsored shooter, representing Suarez international. My mission in the Shooting Sports has been recruiting new shooters and mentoring them to the best of my abilities. My earliest mentor in the sports instilled in me the idea that there should be more of us rather than fewer. I am happily married, father and local business owner. My wife Dianne and I are volunteers at the historic Prescott Elks Opera Theatre providing security and docentry. My decision to run for the board once again comes from my love of the sport and of our town. I hope you will consider me for election to the Board of Directors.
Thank you, Dave Zink
FRANK BARBARO
Hello, my name is Frank Barbaro and I would be honored if you elect me to the Board of Directors for another term. I believe that the Club is progressing positively through our current leadership and I am proud to be part of this group.
For those that don’t know me I am a retired Area Commander from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office with almost 30 years of service. In 30 years I have done every job possible at the Sheriff’s Office and I bring that experience to the Club by using my experience to maintain fiscal responsibility and providing improvements that benefit the members. I am also the match director for first Saturday USPSA and the Northern Arizona Classic. The Northern Arizona Classic is our range’s main fundraiser and the proceeds are used to maintain, improve, and upgrade our facilities and equipment.
My goals as a board member will be to maintain the quality of our club facilities and matches and to make sure that the members have a voice on the board through me.
Thank you, Frank Barbaro
JENNY ZEH
Hi, my name is Jenny, and I have been shooting matches at Prescott Action Shooters for about 6 years now. I absolutely love our community and the people that are at our range. I shoot a variety of matches, including IDPA, USPSA, Steel Challenge, Ringing Steel, and Multi-Gun. I know I have met and interacted with a lot of people at our range, I may have met you at a club match or while working the front during the major matches that our range hosts, I possibly even RO’d you during the major matches as well. I would love to become a board member to continue to make our range one of the best in the area and contribute to continually improving our range. We have the greatest match community, and I would like to be a larger contributor to keep improving that and being a part of it. I love this range, I’m sure as much as all of you do as well. I hope I can get your vote to become a board member. Thank you!
JESS PILCHER - BOARD MEMBER/RANGE MASTER
Fellow Club Members, I am asking for your vote to continue as a member of the PAS Board of Directors for another three years. For the past almost thirteen years it has been my honor and privilege to be your Range Master. In that capacity and with the help and guidance of our great Board of Directors we have developed our facility into one of the finest Shooting venues in the Southwest. As a voting Board Member, I hope to be a part of the future development of our facility. We have accomplished a lot in the past thirteen years, but we have much more work to do, and I ask for your vote to help continue in that effort. At this time, I am currently an Assistant Range Master to our current Range Master – Kelly Frank. In that capacity I look forward to helping Kelly in any way I possibly can. Thank you for your vote. Jess

Do you want a “Man” who will work with the board members to maintain the high standards of the Prescott Action Shooters?
Yes, that’s me! I’m John Evans!
RICK MANGEL
I've been a member of PAS for almost seven years doing Cowboy action shooting (SASS) and more recently, a related discipline, Wild Bunch.
Prior to my escape to Arizona in 2017, I was on the board and in charge of range operations for the largest and founding club of SASS, The Cowboys, in Norco CA for over 15 years.
Even though The Cowboys shot at a public range, we built and maintained the structures and facades that were permanently on the range. I supervised a team of volunteers for one range day a month where we did range maintenance, target repairs, built props and other miscellaneous tasks.
We typically had 150 to 200 shooters at a monthly match where my crew and I would set up 10 bays for the match with targets and props and, after the match, take down and store all of these items.
The Cowboys put on two major multi day events a year that drew 300 to 400 participants. For these events, we would prepare for a few weeks ahead of time.
At PAS, I am the assistant match director for the Wild Bunch matches held on the first Saturday of the month.
Personally, I am an "acquirer" vs a "collector" of what I consider to be interesting firearms such as many old west style firearms (both originals and reproductions), military firearms, Remington Nylon rifles and other odd firearms.
If elected as a PAS board member, I will utilize my experience to provide the best support possible.
