Practical Pistol Bay Rules

All Members and their Guests must sign in prior to using any part of our facility.

 

A member that brings a guest is responsible for that guest and the guest is not allowed to roam the range unsupervised.

 

This is a Cold Range.

 

A loaded CCW is not allowed on the Range.

 

On Match Days, all firearms are to be cased and uncased in the designated safety stations or under the direct supervision of a Range Officer.

 

Eye and Ear protection are mandatory for club members and their guests during matches or when shooting is in progress.

 

Check with the Match Director during match set up, or while a match is underway before shooting in an open Practical Bays.

 

All used cardboard targets and backers are to be placed in the dumpster or taken home by the club member and not put in the trash cans.

 

Place empty paint cans in the trash cans not the dumpster.

 

No rifle caliber or magnum pistol cartridges can be shot on steel in the practical pistol bays.

 

Club members and their guests are responsible for policing all centerfire cartridge brass from the bay floor or shooting points.

 

When using target stands and/or steel make sure you return them to the proper storage area to where you got them. DO NOT LEAVE THEM OUT ON THE BAY.

 

NO armor piercing, incendiary, steel core ammunition or any other explosive devices are allowed on the range.

 

Shooting at steel target stands is strictly prohibited.

 

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the range property.

 

DO NOT LEAVE THE FIRING LINE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A LOADED FIREARM! RULES FOR FIREARMS SAFETY

 

  • Treat all firearms as if loaded!

  • Never point a firearm at anything you do not want to destroy!

  • Always be sure of your target and what is beyond!

  • Keep your finger off of the trigger until your sights are on the target!
